how come, Oscar can detect a the very very small seepage around the mask seal and separate the major leakage through the vent to determine leakage.

Oscar can not detect anything. Oscar reports what the machine can detect. The machine how’s how much air is being generated, and based on that calculates a theoretical pressure, any leaks cause a pressure drop the amount of pressure drop is used to calculate the leaks. On a Resmed machine the intentional mask leak rate is deleted from the numbers. On a Philips machine all leaks are displayed in the graphs
