RESMED S9 Elite EPR - Myles Legere - 01-29-2013

Hello:

I had to erase my SD card because my RESMED S9 Elite told me to.
Now I can't get into the settings area and make any changes like auto on.
Please advise, anyone. Thanks, Myles.

Hi Myles Legere, welcome to the forum!

Your profile says you are not using software, so I suppose you're trying to use either the machine's normal Settings button or the Clinicians Menu, without success.

First, I would try to turn off the machine by holding down the power button for at least 5 seconds.

Second, whether or not the machine turned off, I would pull the power cord at the wall.

Third, after at least 10 seconds I would take out the SD card and put it back in, to make sure it is inserted correctly. (Gently but firmly press in on the SD card and it should pop out a little.) Remove and put back by again gently and firmly pushing in one time. It should stay in rather than pop out.

Fourth, I would plug in the machine and wait 30 seconds or so, to see if it responds as normal.

Maybe you've already done these things. Let us know how it went.

Take care,
--- Vaughn

If the above suggestions don't work.

1) Remove the SD card and try again.

2) Get a new SD card. Any 2GB card or larger will probably work. There's no advantage to using a larger card.

you can make changes in the clinical menu
if set to patient, gives you the option either "off or on" in home screen (setting) menu

if machine accepted the card than the problem is not the card
but just to check, take the card out and see if you can make the changes
if you can, indicate the setting was written on the card by your provider

you can use the machine without the card (in this case detailed data cannot be retrieved but compliance and statistics data is recorded on the card), contact your provider, reformat the card or get a new card
