I want to turn off the wifi transmission to my provider. is this possible?

I believe you just have to put it in Airplane Mode.

Not to nitpick, but I believe it's a cellular signal from AT&T on the ResMed 10 series, at least here in the USA on my ASV SmartPAP. Regardless, as OpalRose mentioned, ironically like a smartphone, switch ON Airplane mode. No more pesky data transmission.
PS there will be an xPAP screen warning like this...

Turning off Wi-fi is an option with airplane mode or physically removing the modem chip. This is discussed elsewhere on the forum. If you want to opt out of MyAir, then follow this procedure:
Go to https://myair.resmed.com/SupportFormPage.aspx?redirectCountry=2
Follow the opt-out instructions:
Yes, you can delete your myAir account. Once you take this action, all historical data in myAir is permanently removed (unrecoverable). Your account is deleted within 30 days.
From the menu under your name, select My account.
From the Manage my account section, to the right of Delete my account, select Delete.
Click Permanently delete my account.
On the Confirm deletion of myAir account dialog box, click Continue.
Enter your password and click Yes, delete my account.

ResMed AirSense 10 does not Wifi. Only AirMini uses Wifi. Probably the topic Wifi means 2G GSM, which AirSense 10 can use. And aeroplane mode disables that 2G.
