How do I interpret the AHI score? What does .8 mean? Thanks

You can find some more info on that at the apneaboard wiki. (sorry cant post links yet)

Basically it is the number of apnea events divided by the amount of time slept. Theres also good posts throughout the forum that have a bunch more detail breaking all the stuff down.

So lets say you had 10 apnea events, over a period of 8 hours, your AHI would be 1.25

An AHI of 0.8 means that you experiencing only 0.8 events per hour, on average. An AHI between 5 and 15 means a diagnosis of mild sleep apnea, so 0.8 is excellent.

An event is an apnea or a hypopnea, so AHI stands for apnea-hypopnea index.

the AHI score is very good (below 5 considered therapy is working)
other indicators such how do you feel are important too

do you have a followup with sleep doctor
the reason asking your profile shows CPAP Pressure: 4-20
normally this setting used in the initial stage and then adjusted
