Ozone Generators and Water Chambers - Tinwoodsman - 10-31-2019

I have been using a small ozone generator to help clean my machine and supplies.  First I connect my facemask and tube to the generator and place the mask with tube, along with other masks I want cleaned, into a enclosed container.  The whole cycle takes about 30 minutes.  Then I connect my AirSense 10 and tube to the generator to clean the machine.  My question is, should you empty the water chamber first or clean it with the remaining water in place?

I hope you understand that, although ozone will sanitize clean surfaces, it does not clean. Components must be cleaned regularly with mild detergent and water for the sanitizer to be effective. It does not penetrate or remove residues. If you want to sanitize the humidifier I believe you should remove the water.

I clean the components reqularly with soap and water.  I use the ozone generator as a supplement.  Thanks for your response.

My personal opinion is that the ozone devices are not necessary. I do occasionally scrub my mask and water tank with an old toothbrush and whatever liquid detergent I have on hand. I'll never be interested in having any of the supposed sanitizer/cleaners.
