Switching between mask? - Nightynite - 11-05-2019

My go to mask is a dreamwear nasel. I tried a dreamwear FF mask last night thinking it would help with clogged sinuses and a deviated septum.

I noticed right off the bat my minimum pressure was way to high for the full face mask. Most likely because it needed more pressure to blow past my junkie sinuses.

Is it common to adjust pressure settings when you switch between nasal and FF ?

It is fairly common to require upto 2cm more pressure to have the same result when using a ffm as the pressure is less direct than with a nasal mask

That’s opposite from me. But the same 2 cm.  My nose must be so constricting it takes more pressure to get through.

There is also a mask setting on your machine that needs changed when switching from nasal to full face.

But jaswilliams is correct. You may need a higher pressure when using a full face mask compared to a nasal mask.
