Mercergirl, there was a bad batch a few years back. Keep exchanging until you get a good one. This problem is actually relatively rare, but some members have had a string of bad ones, most likely because they use a large supplier that got the bad batch.

I know this is an old thread... My 2-week-old ASV started clicking on Inhale and Exhale and emailed my supplier.
I thought it was the water tank and I had ordered a new one.
They never asked any questions which surprised me.
They are sending me a new machine. I am surprised that this problem still persists.
Mine was built in the down under country.

Resmed is good about replacing these machines. If you were not getting that service, the motor can be replaced with one that costs about $100 from AliExpress.
