appearance problems [OSCAR] - StefBE - 11-28-2019 this is about an appearance problem in OSCAR! In order to enhance readability of the home section ( in french "the bienvenue."..welcome page... yes I choose the French version here in Belgium!!) who shows the message of the last session in a tiny textsize, I changed a text size in the appearance section of the preferences pannel to 15 who was 8 before! All I got was a huge textsize in the main menu and all submenu's and the last session msg was improved only a little bit! But more seriously the appearance pannel who showed a lower section where the textsizes could be changed( thats where i changed one of the size choices in the first place) is not on my screen anymore ! I did a search about appearance problems in OSCAR and I got posts who were not helpfull in my case . I even cannot reduce the window to drag it up to see the lower section because the reduce window function ( arrow in de upper right corner) does not do anything!!) Is there a way to go back to the default choices ?? I suppose this possibility is in that hidden part of the appearance panel also? maybe there's a register tweek?? or some other possibility? I use an ASUS laptop 64bits Wi10 home edition Change the screensettings to lower % ( I am at 250% currently) or changing screen resolution ( currently 3840X2160) affects my screen globally and is not a realistic solution and did not help eather in the OSCAR environnement.... any idea ?? thank you stefBE RE: appearance problems [OSCAR] - GuyScharf - 12-01-2019 (11-28-2019, 07:10 AM)StefBE Wrote: this is about an appearance problem in OSCAR! There are some problems with high resolution monitors like yours. First, I recommend you override high resolution scaling behavior for OSCAR. See high resolution monitors wiki and click on oscar.exe rather than sleepyhead.exe. Then, on File/Preferences Appearances tab, adjust the font sizes until you have something that works well. |
