OSCAR feature request: Dated User notes and delimiter - kevinz - 11-29-2019

Hello, all, I've very thankful for all those who worked on and produced the OSCAR software. I rely on it a great deal.

I have a two-fold feature request in OSCAR:

1. I would like to see a dated user notes section in the Statistics, similar to the Prescription Changes section. Something like:

First            Last              Days AHI    FL  Notes
Sat Oct 19 2019  Thur Nov 28 2019  40  7.18  0.06  Changed to Medium nosepiece
Thur Oct 10 2019 Fri Oct 18 2019    7  12.68 0.30  Used 3.5in cervical collar

2. I would like to see some sort of delimiter between between daily columns in the Overview tab, corresponding to the dates in both the Prescription Change and the new User Notes section. The delimiter could just be a thin vertical line, or differently colored backgrounds, etc. This would allow the user to easily select days with different variables within the Overview window, to generate and compare statistics.

Please give me any feedback on this suggestion; if this functionality is already available and I just didn't know it. Thanks, again, for all who work on OSCAR.

-Kevin

1. We have several requests for printing user notes so that is on our list. User notes can be of arbitrary length and would not fit well in your suggested format.  I think that you are really suggesting a new feature rather than using the existing notes -- some way to record significant events that might affect therapy, but are not noted by the CPAP machine, and then a way to see them.  That could be mask changes, bed arrangement, room temperature, and anything else you thought worth tracking.  I'll log that as a suggested enhancement.

2. This is also an interesting idea but I think more difficult.  I'll log this as a suggestion.

Logged as Mantis #221 and #222.

Thank you for considering my request. I was using 'user notes' in a general sense, and didn't understand that it might have a more specific meaning in the context of OSCAR. I wasn't aware that there were existing 'user notes.'

Thanks, again.

Kevin, Many of the changes we implement in OSCAR come like this from the users. The only guarantee I'll make is that they will be seriously considered. Issues, things that don't work right, Those will endup being fixed.
