large leak but low AHI - goodn - 01-16-2020

I have res med 10 auto. If you develop a large leak (>25) but AHI remains < 1 and you sleep well is there any down issue or problem with that?

The machine can only detect a problem by changes pressure and flow. During a large leak it's doubtful the reporting of other then a large leak is accurate.

Not unless it increases your flow limitations and they end up bothering you. I would still attempt to fix the leak though since leaks that large can’t be made up for easily by the machine. I personally shoot for under 12. If I keep relatively clean shaven I don’t find it difficult to do so. If you post a chart it would give us a better idea if the leak is effecting your therapy.

Thanks- can’t right now- on a dive trip in Bonaire-I will check when I get back to the states. Did not have a large leak until I got here with out my extra “stuff” and OSCAR.

Have you ever tried FFM Liners to control your large leaks.
I find using 1,2 or even 3 FFM liners can help.
How many will work for you is strictly a trial and error thing.
For my therapy, I can make just about any FFM work simply by adding Liners.

Best Wishes;
Dan
