Oscar -Fails to download from Contec CMS 50F version 6.1 - Metawatch - 02-01-2020

Hi

Just received my Contec CMS 50F version 6.1 in the mail and was disappointed to see it didn't upload from the device properly using OSCAR . Just hangs when attempting to upload.

After using SPO2 assistant v3.04 (to download, I was able to upload the SPO2 file form the SPO2 assistant directory properly and the file was properly imported. Had to reload Oscar to see the data.

Would be nice to be able to use a one step operation and upload directly from the device.

I have been using the CMS50F v6.1 with OSCAR for the last 3 month's and it works fine.
Remember to import your SD card data first, then your oximetry data.

On the Oximeter Import Wizard page, in the drop down list for the oximeter type, choose:
CMS50Fv3.7+/H/I, Pulox PO 400/500

In my case I am working from a Windows 10 PC.
It simply hangs, and crashes the app.
(Same settings as you used, SD Card data imported prior to attempting Pulse OX data)

Thanks for your input Jeff8356 !

May also be related to

1) First Install from Sleepyhead - Data transfer performed.
2) Informational Message .
"Oximeter name is different..If you only have one and are sharing it between profiles, set the name to the same on both profiles."

I currently have only one profile and one device.

Note: There is no facility (or I can't find it) to change the profile with Oximeter name.

Just tried again, and this time it doesn't crash. (Will perform more testing with additional days data)

Just tried it in Windows 10 and it did import the oxy data just fine.
I also get those "different name" warnings (Mac & Windows) but it never had any effect on the import or the data as far as I can tell.
Never used SleepyHead so can't comment on import SH data.

I also updated the UART drivers for the cable prior to using the 50F.  Had another device that required them.
You can find the updated drivers here: https://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers
Not sure if it will help you, but it may be worth trying.

The "different name" has always been there. It doesn't matter what name you provide the CMS-50, it always uses the name of "User".
