DreamWear Nasal Mask with ResMed? - sjssf - 02-18-2020

I have a Respironics DreamWear Nasal Mask and when I use it with my portable Dreamstation, it's amazing. Truly the most comfortable mask I've found.
I have tried to use it with my Resmed S9 and it's a nightmare. I wake up with a sore, red nose.
I have attached my Resmed hose at the top of the mask. The tube is much bigger than the portable Dreamstation tube. I suspect this has something to do with it but when I called my CPAP retailer, they said you just plug it in and it should work fine. I doubt this.
Are there settings in the Resmed that need to be changed?
Is there an adapter so the smaller tube can go right into the Resmed body? Should it?
Any insight is welcome. I would love to keep using this Nasal mask if possible.

Are you sure that there isn't a bushing in your Dreamstation hose? A lot of the masks use a reducing bushing that looks like it is part of the hose.

I just searched for the DreamWear Nasal Mask manual and found this image in it.  Please look closely at item "F" and its description.

"F" fits into the wide Resmed hose. I'm using that.
The elbow "E" is too small without it.
