No change - bhenn - 04-15-2020

I've been using for 3 months and there has not been a lot of change. I went to the Dr. a month ago and he changed the pressure from 6 to 7.  I am supposed to contact him in a few days.  I would like to know if I should reccomend  anything to change.  I have a Phillips auto cpap machine.  I was using a dreamwear nasal mask and have changed to a dreamwear full mask the past two weeks but I have not noticed any change.  I am attaching a screen shot of oscar.

Thanks

bhenn,
Welcome to Apnea Board!

If you could repost your chart and include the left sidebar, minus the pie chart and calendar.  There is alot of data there that we look at to compare to the graphs.  Use the link below in my signature line on how to set up your graph.

It looks like much of your problem may be positional.  Have you ever tried a soft cervical collar?  This can stop you from chin tucking, which in turn cuts of your air.

Also, I'm fairly certain you could use a higher pressure.  Is there a reason your not using the Auto Mode?

I have not tried the soft cervical collar.
The Dr. put me on the cpap mode at 7.  I do not know what it not on auto.

Read this link, and order yourself a collar.  This has helped many folk here.

In the meantime, try a different sleep position.  Lay on your side if able.  Also, if your pillow is too thick, this can cause you to tuck your chin to your chest.  Use a flatter pillow.

As far as your settings, change to Auto mode, the set your minimum pressure to 8cm and maximum to 15cm.  Set your AFlex setting to 2.

If you need a Clinicians manual for your machine, order here:

At the bottom of the charts in the left and right corners, open those menus and make sure all are green. Your PieChart is showing RERAs but your events and stats are not.

Use a collar it will make a difference
set flex = 2, that might help with your hypopneas otherwise we may need to raise your pressure.

I have read the phillips dreamstation manual and I do not find an   (Aflex) setting.    There is an (Eflex) settiong is this what you want to set. Its the pressure when you exhale.

RE: No change - OpalRose - 04-16-2020

I've never heard of EFlex.

There is AFLex if using the Auto mode, and there is CFlex if using Cpap mode.
