Jan 2019 sleep study. 50 AHI
Dreamstation Apap settings 12/20
August Fail APAP, test, to BI Pap settings 12/18
Fail Bi Pap, new study for ASV. best sleep lab yet. Put on mask, next thing Im leaving with 0 events, Zero everything.
Script for ASV denied by Medicare. Thinking Ill buy on my own.
But before all that Id like to see what you guys think.

If you have a prescription or will get an ASV go for a Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV the other devices wont suit don’t be fobbed off with anything less. Supplier #2 has some good prices on lightly used ASV’s they are not cheap.

Ive had APAP and BPAP Dreamstation and Im assuming I would get ASV same.

I would ditto you will need to get the ResMed Aircurve 10 ASV just like what I have now. It took my CA 124 and OA 24 events to near zero at all times. So yes it works great on CA. Don't accept anything different.
One thing to note if attempting to get the ASV via insurance, you would need a 45% or higher on LVEF on a echocardiogram. The requirement for that may be eliminated soon as it's based off a flawed report SERVE-HF. If self-funding, just get the doctor to script an ASV and get the ResMed.

The new script reads: ASV set at 7/15/3cm pressure. What will be different. Are there corresponding settings on a Dreamstation that may mimic these.

There would, these being the ones you mentioned as 7/15/3, I believe that translates to EPAP 7, IPAP 15, PS 3. Just mentioning it again, the Respironics DreamStation will not work as well as the ResMed ASV IMO. I have the ResMed and it will result in better comfort and therapy. It will feel more natural than the DreamStation.
PS: on the ResMed you could run a range for EPAP and PS in ASV Auto mode that would cover any event you throw at it.

So far you have consistently been dispensed Philips Respironics Dreamstation products. PLEASE insist on a Resmed! Go to a different supplier if necessary. 7/15/3 seems to be EPAP min 7 PS 3 to 15 cm, so any of the ASV devices can do this. Even better is ASVauto mode which allows EPAP to automatically adjust, and in your case, probably 5 to 10 cm for EPAP range. Get the Resmed.

I can make upper and lower pressure settings. currently lower 3 upper 7. Smart ramp on. Flex 3. Don't know if any of that would change things.
I agree I will be better off on ASV. as per Doctors order. So Res Med is the one. No love for Dreamstation anywhere?. Its just that Im familiar with Philips.

It's not a dislike for the Respironics, it is that the ResMed responds faster and more naturally and that means a better and more comfortable therapy. There are users of both here on AB.
