Call for Soft Collar Reviews - Sleeprider - 06-18-2020

Please help us to help others find a comfortable and effective soft cervical collar solution by writing a Review in the Other Product Reviews Forum

Thanks to Aludj for the new review on the Corflex Ultra soft cervical collar.  Very well written and will be helpful to members that must make a decision for a collar that is effective, fits and is comfortable.  We need more reviews of the collar alternatives.  I will link any reviews written from the Soft Cervical Collar Wiki  While many people are using collars, this is our only review.  Please consider taking time to write a review of your experiences whether positive or not.

Thanks

Wish someone would come up with a cooling soft collar for these hot Texas nights.

I have two of “The Eliminator Cushion” (very similar to the Doctor Dakota). They have a neck strap, so the foam does not completely encircle the neck. That makes them a little cooler than typical soft collars, but the foam is fairly stiff (maybe a little too stiff). The cover has a zipper so it can be removed for washing.

In one, I replaced the foam with buckwheat hulls. I stuffed in as many hulls as I could. The cover is kind of stretchy so it has to be completely full to hold its shape. With the hulls, it is noticeably cooler than foam, but it could use a cloth liner to stiffen it a bit.

Overall though, I wouldn’t really count The Eliminator as a soft cervical collar.
