I simply cant keep this mask on all night.

mask Nasal - (I cant keep the pillows in my nose) I find the nasal mask comfortable.

also: I think I have positional apnea. I cannot keep a neck roll on. Has anyone successfully tried sleeping on their back without a pillow?

Your apnea is being very successfully treated, so I wouldn't worry about positional issues. But taking the mask off is clearly a real problem for you. I see from a previous thread that this has been a problem for quite a while. In an earlier thread, it seemed as though the underlying cause was a leak-arousal-removal sequence, but that doesn't seem to be true in these more recent charts you've posted.

Other forum members have tried various tricks to avoid taking their masks off unknowingly. One nice thing is that once the pattern is disrupted for a while, the trick may no longer be needed.

* You can try putting socks or mittens on your hands.

* You can try putting tape across a strap of your mask, anchored to your skin on both sides, so that when you start trying to take the mask off, the tug on your skin wakes you up and forestalls the removal.

* You can try wearing a cap that has a tie under your chin, putting it on over your mask.

* You can try putting a headband over your mask.

I used to do this. I changed my sleeping position to a more comfortable one. It took some time and experimentation. My rule of thumb is, sleep in the most comfortable way, no matter how silly it may look.

Hence I sleep with:

- a full head mask I made from cotton :

- sometimes with my legs up
- sometimes in a hammock
- sometimes with my head supported by
