? OSCAR: Disk Space / Data Management ? - georgelewisray - 08-13-2020

How best to manage accumulated data from years of CPAP/BIPAP usage ?
Currently at 6.4 GB in OSCAR directory ( since Oct 2018 )
I would like to have fairly detailed historical data but at some point data volume ends up being "Death By a Thousand Cuts", what with OSCAR, PHOTOS, MUSIC, and you can fill in the others. A gigabyte here and terabyte there and pretty soon your talking about real data volume >> $$$$$

I tried to 'self help' by doing forum searches on 'data', 'disc space', 'hard drive' and reading help/wiki stuff and looking thru the OSCAR preferences  . . . . ???

NOTE:
I started Oct 2018 with SleepyHead and ResMed AutoSet 10 then in Sept 2019 switched to VAuto BiLevel.

Directories , a few facts:
Profile directory: created July 2019 , Mod Aug 13, 2020
RESMED_23182107400 , 2.2GB , created July 2019 , Mod July 23, 2020
RESMED_23192487151 , 4.2GB , created Sept 2019 , Mod Aug 13, 2020

It’s possible to set OSCAR to compress gathering data on import in File preferences but it does not go back and fix up previously imported data.

If it was me zip the whole OSCAR_Data directory and store as a backup. Then start again with a new OSCAR_DATA directory
