ResScan File Access - Stephen Grant - 08-23-2020

After accidental deletion of data on SD card and subsequent other mishaps I had to reinstall ResScan (5.9.0.9629 on Win7). I cleared all resmed data and stuff in registry beforehand and rebooted. When I try to add new patient I get "Please contact SysAdmin in regard to patient file access". Any advice? Maybe not use ResScan?

It could be the permission level on the location trying to store the patient data. The only reason I can think of to use ResScan is for furnishing reports to a governmental authority that requires it. For sleep analysis, OSCAR is the best bet.

Yes, there was no write access to the folder but also there seemed no way to change it since neither Windows permission nor the attrib command did anything. I'm pretty sure this problem is recent since originally everything was working fine. I suspect this may be microsoft encouraging "upgrade" to Win 10. So it's Sleepyhead or Oscar for me. Thanks for the tip

My Rescan writes its data to the public folder location which all users should have read write access
