Resumed Airsense 10 Autoset stop/start - Jmosk - 11-24-2020

Several times during the night it stops generating pressure for perhaps 10 seconds or so, then starts again. I’m the morning I noticed it doing this ever 10 minutes of so. I did not see any messages on the front panel. Don’t know how often it happened during the night but woke me several times to realize what was happening.

What to check?

If you go into your options is SmartStart on or off? I like to turn it off so I have to hit the button on the top of the machine to start and stop therapy.

If you can post a chart we might see something there. The machine may shut down when it detects a large leak or mask-off situation. If that is happening or anything else, the first step is to turn off the Smartstart.

I think I see the problem. I noted the water reservoir was empty this morning. It was certainly running low over night and it was probably causing the unit to shut down. This morning it was shutting down every few minutes because there was no water in it. I think that is it.

I've not heard of a lack of water in the humidifier tub causing a shutdown. I have heard of others waking up at the normal time with water tubs being empty. My ASV has run dry a time or 2 and it does not shutdown. As was noted, it could be SmartStart is active and turning off the machine. It could be some leak issue. Let's see data to help point out what the issue is, if it's something that can be seen.

Agree, the humidifier probably has little to do with the machine shutting down.

Post a chart from OSCAR, as we can see from the graph if the machine shut down.
Also, as others stated, check to see if the SmartStart feature is on or off.

I have to agree with the others. I doubt that a water reservoir that is low on water or empty will turn the machine off. Mine has been low a few times and completely empty once and my 10 AutoSet kept running.

However an empty water reservoir suggests an air leak problem from the mask.
