Long long sleeping periods - bhcohen1 - 11-29-2020

Hi, I am new to the forum but have an important question. Sometimes I sleep for VERY long periods of time (30 hours+) when I allow myself to and do not have to wake up (like during vacation or a long weekend). It used to be much more often before wearing my mask regularly but it still happens. Does this happen to anyone else? I also think it might be related to my ADHD medication but am not sure. Thanks!

you didn't say how old you are but when I was 15 or 16 or so I often slept for 12 - maybe 15 hours on weekends. but even during adolescence, 30 hours sounds like something is seriously amiss. could be physical, could be depression? the 5 or 6 adhd meds I've been prescribed over the years have been stimulants of various types. you didn't mention what you're taking but I can't imagine they'd do anything but help keep you up and focused. this sounds like something to check in with your doctor about.

Talk to your doctor tomorrow. normal people do not sleep 30 hours in a row. You could have some undiagnosed life threatening condition.
