Re-testing (don't use CPAP for 7 days) - rata - 12-16-2020 I've been using a CPAP for about 15 years. I had HUGE tonsils... and had them removed three months ago (super painful and long recovery, but worth it at this point). The Dr's think they were causing a large part of my apnea, if not all of it. My sleep doctor wants to re-test - but wants me to not use the CPAP for 4-7 days before the test (to "reset the baseline") I've been retested a few times over the yars and haven't run into this before. I don't mind trying, but am so used to the device it's hard to sleep without (and yeah, if I don't have apnea any more, I'll need to get used to that). Has anyone else run into the 7 day thing before re-testing? Is this legit? Thanks! -R RE: Re-testing (don't use CPAP for 7 days) - jaswilliams - 12-18-2020 This is a legit requirement but more like 3 days before is sufficient |
