any adjustments based on my first 2 weeks use - Ash2020 - 01-03-2021 Dear Members, i have been using my resmed airsense 10 machine for the first 2 weeks now, i have pressure on 7-14 and epr on 1 and all the climate settings on auto. I have attached a picture of my results that have been improving of oscar software. Could you recommend me any suggestions based on the setting i have? Adjust the pressure or the erp? Thank you for your help in advance i do have been waking up more rested but sometimes with pain in my ears like they are clogged and dizzyness during the day because of the ears, does this has to do with the use of the machine? This information above is not useful. Your AHI is improving, but still too high and even without seeing a chart I predict I will ask you to increase minimum pressure and read the following wikis Positional Apnea http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/Optimizing_therapy#Positional_Apnea Soft Cervical Collar http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/Soft_Cervical_Collar RE: any adjustnebts based on my first 2 weeks use - Ash2020 - 01-03-2021 Here are the screenshots, thank you for your help in advance.[attachment=29005] RE: any adjustnebts based on my first 2 weeks use - Sleeprider - 01-03-2021 With pressure at 7-14 and EPR 1 you are at or near your maximum pressure all night. Including the pressure graph would help. Your apnea are predominately obstructive, and every one is clustered in groups. Flow limits are really high. As I guessed before, you need to increase your pressure settings, use the full EPR of 3 and find a soft cervical collar to deal with the positional apnea/chin tucking. If you are using a taller or stiffer pillow, a reduced height may avoid some chin-tucking, but the proven solution is the soft collar with a good fit. Be sure to read the reviews linked in the wiki. This will completely clear up with the collar and other measures. EPR is simply the same as bilevel pressure support, it is a difference between the inhale and exhale pressures your machine provides. The increase in pressure during inspiration, assists your respiratory effort and partially overcomes the flow limits, and at the same time makes therapy more comfortable. With the understanding this won't completely clear up with pressure alone, I recommend: Mode: Autoset Standard Minimum Pressure: 10.0 Maximum Pressure: 18.0 EPR: Full Time at 3. . RE: any adjustnebts based on my first 2 weeks use - Ash2020 - 01-03-2021 I do have dizzyness - vertigo since i have been starting using the cpap threw pressure changes in my ear, i have been reading that this can be resolved by lowering the pressure? You are telling me to increase the pressure, i am affraid that this will make my vertigo worse, any thoughts ? Once again thank you alot for helping me. |
