ResMed AirSense 10 making noise - Sprig - 02-18-2021

I’ve had my AirSense10 for 4.5 years and it’s been great. A few months ago it started making a noise when I inhale. Sounds like a soft whistling sound. I’ve checked everything from the water chamber to the hose and head gear. The sound is definitely coming from the machine. The sound is annoying and even my white noise sound device doesn’t help. I started using an old cpap that I keep as a spare. I’m due for a new cpap through Medicare in about 6 months.
It appears from my research that noise complaints such as mine are not uncommon with the AirSense 10. I like the AirSense but for the noise. A couple questions -
1)Do any of you have similar problems with your AirSense 10?
2) Will your next cpap be an AirSense 10? Even if you are experiencing noise problems?
3) Should I go with a different machine, any recommendations for a quality, dependable cpap similarly priced as the AirSense?

Sorry to learn your having a problem. My Airsense 10 autoset is about 4.5 years old. It makes a slight noise that is barely noticeable. Even if I had a significant noise issue at this point I would still get another Airsense 10. Nothing else delivers the same level of therapy.

The least expensive possible source of that whistling noise is the "Air Outlet Adapter" seal to the humidifier. It is about a $10 part.

For $10 or so definitely worth a try. Could you tell me where I can order the part? Thanks

If I post a link, I have to give myself an infraction. Please search "Resmed Airsense 10 Air Outlet Adapter", but this image comes from Respshop.
