Event pop-up with duration - nickanti - 06-19-2021

In the OSCAR documentation I am seeing:

Placing the cursor on any event will create a small pop-up detailing the type and duration of the event in seconds.

But in my case I am only seeing the event type and no duration.

Is there a configuration parameter I missed or did the software drop this feature?

What is the event type you are referring to? Not all events provide a duration value. Also, what OS and OSCAR versions?

Oscar 1.2

No event shows duration.

To help in tracking down your problem, please tell the OS you are using. Also, does this happen on all days and every time you use OSCAR?

Not all CPAP machines report reliable elapsed times with events. Specifically, the Philips Respironics machines do not report times that can be trusted and so no times are reported. ResMed machines report times only for some event types, but not for all.

Thank you.

I guess documentation needs to be updated then.

Yeah, it's an ongoing project of huge proportions by a limited number of people who are giving their time and expertise for free to create this product for anyone to use for free, on multiple platforms. Sometimes, unfortunately, the wiki falls behind the updated functionality with new/different machines added.

I was just made aware that if you use the Clock Drift option in the Preferences menu, that you will no longer be able to see the event duration for the time period you entered at the beginning of the session. Since what I am trying to describe is not very clear, if you enter a one-hour drift in the clock feature, you will not be able to see any duration times for the first hour of your sleep data.

And that's not a bug ('b/c we don't have bugs) - it's a feature ???

I don't think the 'clock drift' does what anybody wants. We need to redefine it and re-implement the new version.

E-x-c-u-s-e ME! It is an undocumented feature.

Thanks
