Resmed S9 presure seting - E.W. - 07-09-2021
I have a Resmed S9 Elite set to a pressure 14. Last night was the first time I used it and my results were
Hyponia .83 , Clear Airway .69 Obstructive .55 AHI 2.07 Large leaks 3.47 .
I also have a Resmed S8 Autoset Vantage that when set for 12 to 16 reports I have a AHI of 5.2 and a
95% pressure of 13 .
Now for the fun part over the past year using a Dreamstation auto my Ahi has risen from about 4 to 8.8
along with a rise in the 95% pressure rising from 16 to 19. So I think my darn Dreamstation was just
defective . Oh my Dr. has ordered me a new machine but in this case he ordered a Bipap so we could go
to higher pressure but if my data from using the S8 and S9 is right I don't need a very high pressure after all.
But back to the S9 if I tweak the pressure I wonder if I should go a little higher or lower.

If you peruse the forum you will find the ResMed algorithm is just better than Phillips. You know all Phillips devices are on recall? Glad you are getting a Resmed.
