oxygen levels question? - eekamouse - 10-30-2021

Hey all,
If I'm using an oxygen level monitor and it's showing that, with my CPAP mask, my levels aren't dropping below about 95, do I still need the CPAP machine? Does apnea have any other consequences other than oxygen depletion? Basically, my apnea was always very mild, and mostly occurred when I was sleeping on my back. The oxygen monitor gives me an alarm if my levels ever drop -- and so I roll over and go back to sleep. I'm wondering if that effectively solves my problem or whether there's some other reason I should keep wearing the mask.
Any thoughts welcomed!
Cheers,
Jeff

Well, maybe the CPAP machine is what is what is keeping SpO2 above 95%. We don't know why you are concerned with your oxygen saturation or the sleep apnea issues, so information if very incomplete for this questions. Maybe you need your CPAP for your obstructive apnea. This is why we want you to keep your therapy questions in one thread, otherwise there is just no context. You have six threads and never follow-through after reviving advise. You were diagnosed with mild sleep apnea, so if you want to toss the machine, it is entirely your choice. Use your oximeter without therapy and see what you get. Please keep your therapy questions in one thread.
