Hi, I haven't been around for a while. I been fighting prostate cancer . Now cancer free after prostatectomy. But fighting real bad scaring. Through IA all been using apap and never once had a cold and had Lee allergies to. So there are advantages to using it. Also bring it to hospital. The monitor won't go off when you fall asleep with out it on.

Sounds like you have been through a couple tough months, and glad your news is good. I'm not sure what your question is concerning the CPAP, but I assume your need has not changed and the therapy has benefits. If a monitor (SpO2?) does not go off when using it, that is probably a good sign. Keep up the good fight.

Mo it wasn't a question. I was just stating take your apap machine with you to hospital because like me I fall asleep at hospital o2 alarm would go off nurse would wake me up to get me to breath.

Brought back memories....during a one week hospital stay I had to use my cpap. They insisted. I had a Breeze nasal pillows mask. No one knew what I had on! Some of the reactions were comical.

You get used ti your own. Then when they wheeled their cpap machine. It stood about 3 ft tall and about 18x18 sq. They put a full face mask on and it was noisey.
