Mask Leak Due to Nasal Strips? - nathanvoltz - 01-04-2022

Hello, I was wondering if the use of Breathe Right strips might break the seal on my nasal mask? If anyone has any experience with this problem I'd love to hear about it. Or if there are any other thoughts as to why I'm experiencing so much leakage. Per the advice of another user, I've been careful with avoiding too much tightness on the mask, so I'm wondering if I may just need a different model. Thanks!

I used nasal strips before my Cpap days.  I didn't see the need for them once on Cpap.

I'm not sure if using nasal strips along with your mask is causing you leaks.
You shouldn't need the strips, but doubt it would cause issues.

You do however have some leakage going in. The spikes on your leak graph normally indicate mask movement. There is a lot of movement between 3:15 and 4:45.
You may be rolling over and/or adjusting your mask.
There is some mouth breathing too, indicated by flat tops on the leak graph.

Your mask might not be fitting you all that great. Have you tried different size nasal cushions to see if you can get a better fit? If all else fails, you may need to try a different mask.
