OSCAR crashes when importing data from DeVilBissBLU CPAP - philippetla - 02-02-2022

Hi all

I'm currently renting a DeVilBissBLU DV64E CPAP machine. This machine contains an SD card showing "ResMed" on it. I've tried to import the data from this card into OSCAR, but this has resulted in a crash each time.

This is what the logs show on the 2 last lines:
228770: Warning: DV6 rf(open) could not open "E.BIN" for reading, error code 5 "Le fichier spécifié est introuvable."
228770: Warning: DV6 Unable to open E.BIN
I'm including more of the log below.

I checked the DV6 directory where the .BIN files seem to be, and indeed this folder does not include a E.BIN file.

Any help on this will be highly appreciated!
Thanks

Hi philippetla!  -  Welcome

It will really help if you would answer the following questions.
  1. What version of OSCAR are you using?
  2. What is your operating system? If Linux, which distribution?
  3. 32 or 64-bit system?
  4. Did you format the SD card prior to using it in the DeVilbiss?

You say the card shows "ResMed" on it. Do you mean that is printed on the label on the card? If so, that doesn't matter as SD cards are interchangeable.

The E.BIN file contains information about events -- apneas, hypopneas, etc. Did you have any events reported on the front panel of the machine? I suppose if there weren't any, the machine might not have created the E.BIN file, but I have not seen this behavior before. How many days have you been using this machine?

I think the best solution will be for you to make a zip of the SD card and upload it to my Dropbox folder. Please include your forum name in the zip file name so we know who the file is from. I will examine the SD card and see if there are any other problems and how to work around the missing E.BIN file.
