Multiple night awakenings with low AHI? - chen30 - 03-18-2022

Dear ApnoeaBoard,
Thank you for your amazing support - super grateful that I was previously able to reduce my central apneic events when I first started CPAP!
The issue that I am finding is that I am having multiple night awakenings where I actually wake up with my heart racing and this happens every hour for 3-4 hours at the end of my sleep cycle. I presume this is an apneic episode. Sometimes it is really hard to get to sleep after these episodes. So these days, I wake up around 4-5 am.... which is really annoying.

As advised, I am using a soft collar to help reduce CA events.
Would appreciate your advice!

What I am seeing are high flow limits. Flow limits are apnea just like o and h events. They are not calculated in the AHI. But they can cause you to wake up or not get into deep sleep.

We control flow limits using EPR. You have your EPR set to 1. I would suggest setting it to 3 and see how you do.
