Back to CPAP and wanting advice - rogerncormier74 - 04-01-2022 Hi guys, recently started my CPAP back again after having been off for 2-3 years. I had a horrible time with my 3rd day back yesterday with constantly waking up. I downloaded the Oscar software to get a bit more info. Are Clear Airway apneas what they call Central apneas? Should I be concerned about this if so? I had real some people saying you needed different machine to treat those? I attached a few screenshot from my first 3 days on Oscar. If anyone had any suggestions. The pressure set on the machine was from 2-3 years ago. Just got a new sleep study a few weeks ago showing that I had been mild sleep anea at first 5-6AHI but now at Moderate 15AHI. I wanted to see about getting a new machine some time next week as the machine I have is the recalled ones. I was thinking the Resmed AirSense 11, but I was just wanting to make sure I was not going to buy a wrong machine. Thanks for any help. Roger RE: Back to CPAP and wanting advice - Phaleronic - 04-01-2022 You can replace the air chamber in your machine for $30 and not have to buy a new machine (I'm using my Phillips machine after the retrofit). I tried a new S10 FH and didn't like it. You should probably raise your max pressure up to 13-14 to begin. RE: Back to CPAP and wanting advice - Gideon - 04-02-2022 On your DS1 Enable Flex at 2 Increase Min to 10, Max to 15 You want a ResMed AutoSet, it really does not matter if it is A10 or A11. ResMed settings Min pressure = 9 Max Pressure = 15 EPR=3, fulltime Ramp = OFF I don't know if you have an ozone cleaner but do NOT use it on either machine. |
