Hi Gorge,
Do you feel that you are sleeping well at night? If I understand you correctly, you experience breathing difficulties during the day after you wake up.

It could be that your Cpap pressure isn't set properly, causing you to struggle to breathe and in turn affects how you feel during the day.

If you are able, move the minimum pressure up to start at 6 and set the maximum pressure to 10. This gives your machine some room to work properly.

I do suggest if you continue to feel bad, make an appointment with your Doctor and have your Oxygen levels checked and possibly a Lung Function Test.

Not knowing much about your machine or health problems, it's a little hard to advise.

Also, we have Clinicians Manuals for the Sefam Auto Cpap. Not sure if it's your exact model, but may help. Look under Section Three.

Hi my pressure is between 4.5 and 6.5, and in terms of and the device almost completely prevents the sleep apnea (average of one per hour) I did a lung test and my lungs are fine. I think it's just something in the brain that the body is used to breathing one way and then when it wakes up it's suddenly weird for it to breathe another way and then it's hard for it, does that make sense?
And do you know anyone who has had this symptom?

Sorry you are experiencing this. With an AHI of 1 per hour, your device is doing its job.

I don't know of anyone who has this symptom, but others might chime in.

The only other thing I can think of as to why you may have breathing issues during the day, might be that your oxygen level is low. Do you track your oxygen levels either during the night or daytime?

Thanks so much for the quick response, what I feel is that the body is just not used to breathing. Not a problem of oxygen, a problem that I feel I just have to breathe for the body to breathe properly and it just will not breathe properly if I am not in control of it. It's like I feel like my body is not able to adjust to the situation after I take off the cipap, that he has to breathe alone without help.

If your device is an Auto Cpap, then it is not breathing for you. You are still breathing on your own during therapy, so there is no difference when you wake in the morning. The only machine that initiates a breath is an ASV, and you don't appear to be using an ASV.

My suggestion is when you wake, remove your mask and do some deep breathing exercises.

In cases like this we try to optimize for comfort.
Try setting your pressure to 7-10
