Climate Line Hose: Burning Smell? - BuckarooBanzai - 05-10-2022

I turned on my Resmed AirSense 11, put on my P10 mask, and smelled something burning. It was a light/mild 'short circuiting' odor, clearly coming through the hose to my mask. Could not smell the burning when I took my mask off. It stopped after a few minutes.

The next night, this happened again. Wondered if perhaps it was the tubing on my new P10 mask, so I switched it out for an old P10 mask. Problem continued. So, I switched out my ClimateLine hose for a new one. Problem solved.

Perhaps the ClimateLine hose is defective? It is only three or four months old. Anyone ever had their ClimateLine short circuit, burn out, catch fire, whatever?

I have never had a problem with the Climateline tube, but good that you found your problem. I assume nothing is visually obvious?

The ClimateLine tube appears to be fine, but I am pretty sure it was the problem. The odor has not returned since I switched out the hose two days ago.

Thank you.
