Using SoClean Machine with CPAP Machine - ronald1810 - 06-01-2022

I've been cleaning my CPAP Machine with a SoClean Machine.  I've been filling the water reservoir with water PRIOR to turning on the SoClean Machine.  Should I be cleaning the CPAP Machine with or without the water in the reservoir tank?  Thank you for your assistance.

Hi ronald1810! - Welcome
Based on the fact that the use of a product like SoClean, voids the Resmed warranty, can degrade seals within the CPAP, and has an FDA advisory against these products, most of us don't advise the use of this product.

To answer your question, based on my statement above, it really doesn't matter if you have the tank filled.

To put it bluntly, you should clean your machine, using mild soap and water in the way recommended by the manufacturer and discontinue use of SoClean. No need to get carried away with the sensitization of your Vauto. You are the only user and it's unlikely you will make yourself sick even with casual and occasional cleaning.

Thank you for your reply.  I did not know that using the SoClean Machine voids the Resmed warranty!  Thanks for the helpful information.

Thank you Sleeprider for your response.  It is definitely helpful.

I hope you've been cleaning it with soap and water. SoClean, as stated by the manufacturer, is no substitute for cleaning.
