Flow rate accuracy in HSAT - dataq1 - 06-08-2022

My wife recently had a home sleep study (administered by hospital) using Resmed Apnea Air Link (flow measured by nasal cannula).
It just occurred to me that she tends to oral breathe, but not all the time. And even when she does have her lips slightly parted a portion of the air is probably going through her nose  and some through her mouth.

Reviewing the written instructions she was given, there is no instruction to tape her lips shut.

Since the flows are only measured by nasal breathing, is this a problem in accurately measuring hypopneas because of inconsistent nasal breathing?

If so, should the proper procedure include sealing the lips?
