Thank you for Oscar. - silverdr - 07-18-2022

I went to see my sleep specialist today for the first time since getting my dreamstation 2.

When I first started seeing him a few years ago with dreamstation 1, His phylips respironics software had not been updated by the company and would not read my sdcard. So I used to bring my sdcard with my macbook and show him the data with oscar.
Today I brought my card and my macbook but he assured me his software was updated and should read the card. It did however he noted that I had missed 3 days of use in the last 90 days.
I told him that was impossible as I use my cpap daily except one day last week my dreamMapper software reported one day with 0 hours. I dont understand why but its the only time in the last year that I saw this.
So I put the sdcard into my macbook and loaded it into oscar (1.40) and 2 of the three days he said I missed were on the card.
It doesn't really matter in terms of my compliance but oscar is working better than phylips software.
Thanks    again.

If you look at the debug log during import there were probably some errors that OSCAR handled but the official software simply rejects.

The most common we’ve seen is when the writing gets interrupted (for unknown reasons) preventing a secondary wrapper checksum from being written.

OSCAR recognizes this situation and checks the underlying data’s checksums instead.
