two machines, same night? - SleepyMac - 12-12-2022

Dumb question:
Can you import data from 2 machines into Oscar for the same night?  Will it cause any problems?

Feels like a cold coming on.  Sometimes, I can’t sleep laying down in bed due to congestion / sinus pressure, and I will finish night sitting up in recliner down in living room.  It’s bad sleep (if any), but at least I can breath.  In the past, I’ve just done it without PAP -- it’s just too much trouble moving machine @3am!

Now that I have a backup machine, I’m going to set it up on the side table, just in case.

I've imported from both before, but never for same night.  I don't want Oscar to “hiccup” or crash or overwrite data etc.

I don't think OSCAR will crash. If ignoring the second import is a hiccup... it will hiccup.

At least I'm pretty sure it will ignore additional data for a day that already has data.

If you have a second profile you could load the data there, but then they won't combine.

As you might guess, using two machines in the same night was not considered likely during the design process. Big Grin

This wasn't a feature request ;-)

My last 2 colds it was only an issue for 2-3 nights, and I'm not sure how much I will sleep in recliner even on PAP.

It was more curiosity.

Thanks!
