There re too many models have the name of "Philips-Respironics PR System One"
Model numbers below 450 (50 series machines) and 460 (60 series machines with the heated hose option) are not data capable machines ... known as bricks. Model number shown at the label underside of the machine (remove water tank before checking)

Hello, BenO. Welcome to the forum.
I am not a pro at any of this, in fact, I just joined the forum myself a couple of days ago. I have been on CPAP for two years and was prescribed the Respronics System One Model 450P. Not having any previous experience and nothing to compare it to, I can only speak of my personal experience. I have been very happy with my machine. It is extremely quiet, my husband states that he doesn't hear any noise at all, a good report in light of the fact that his hearing is very acute. The controls are simple and very user friendly. I appreciated that, especially in the beginning when I was overwhelmed with my new diagnosis. My machine has data card and recording ability. Yesterday I downloaded my data to the recommended SleepyHead software, which is giving me the ability to take control of my condition. The SD card pops right out and contains tons of info when carried along for followup M.D. visits. The machine is small and light weight, a plus when traveling. I have had my machine for two years with no problems or issues whatsoever. Ramp feature and C-flex have enabled me to better tolerate my therapy. I like this product so I pass along my seal of approval. I hope you have a very positive experience with yours as well.

I had a PR System One APAP Model 550P that served me faithfully for a little over two years. Had good service out of mine. I think I had in excess of 7500 hours on the Blower when I took it out of service.
I am now with a ResMed S9 because of issues related to medical conditions that made my sleep therapy less effective.

BenOI tried a PR System One (model unknown) for a couple of weeks about two years ago when I needed a new data-capable machine. I found the PR to be too noisy, so I sent it back and got the S9 instead.
