Problem With Machine - johnprz - 09-07-2014

Has any one else had the machine (PR1 BiPAP ASV) not turn off after you've pushed the knob repeatedly to turn it off?

She's only had the machine for 9 days ... it's new.

Pulling the plug and letting it go without power ... then plugging back in doesn't help. It comes back on with the blower running.

Bad timing, she's only 9 days into her compliance.

Suggestions needed.

Thanks John

If I am correct that unit has an auto off and auto on based on the mask detection, I don't know how that works but if it's on try turning it off, or vice versa. That's the best I can think of at the moment.

Welcome to the board.

With a FFM, autostart is usually not used due to the anti asphyxia valve in the mask.
Can you take to to the original supplier for a checkup?
I sounds like the machine is a dud.
Electronic items fail either early in life or at end-of-life.
Even though this is medial equipment, I doubt they do parts burn-in to weed out the bad actors.

Bring it back it's broken.

Keep the memory card if you need the compliance data.
