Elite S9 in China - CarlosSky - 10-05-2014

I use the ResMed S9 Elite SKU 36003. I am travelling to China (Beijing and Shanghai) for three weeks. I have not been able to find a supplier in China to obtain help in case I have problems or lose my CPAP. Any suggestions?

Carlos

The power brick should be fine, you need plug adapter, not sure whether Beijing and Shanghai uses the same plug
AC power plugs and sockets http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_power_plugs_and_sockets

ResMed in China http://www.resmed.com/int/assets/html/contact_us/offices-asia-pacific.html?nc=contactus

Make a list of all items you need to pack so you don't forget to pack them
Extension cord, spare filters, hose, mask, cushion, filters, hose, etc .. and a copy of your prescription, in case if you have to buy something in a hurry, things can get lost, damaged or stolen

From Google translate ... have fun and safe return

China uses an odd socket. However, they are accommodating the Europlug in most buildings.
Honk Kong still has many UK type outlets. You should be good to go with the multi-adapter outlet adapter kit.

Suggestion: use a surge protector instead of a plain extension cord/power strip; and this suggestion is for any CPAP/APAP regardless of the locale/country it is being used in.

Power can fluctuate and lighting and hit Anywhere.
