New Type of CPAP Machine...better than ASV?? - racprops - 10-26-2014
I saw a special new machine that looked better than a ASV machine something about maintaining air flow...Please point me to it.

Fair..had problems with my 950 and Second win replaced it with a 960.

Here is a couple not posted here:
A review of the Philips Respironics BiPAP AutoSV Advance System One 960.
Noted a few changes, one I cannot check by was told, "The 950 series have a design flaw where the connectors to the pressure sensors can get loose. The 960 series put a big screw through the circuit board over the pressure sensors to hold it down tight."
After my old 950 acted up I can believe it. The new machine is working well and no longer do I have the wild rides I have been having…
A few things I have noted, first the power plug into the machine is bigger and stronger, and after having a problem with the 950 I did not dare unplug it after a couple of times it was not getting a good connection.
Next the main knob has a wider base, and a much stronger snap action, which help prevents mistakenly hitting it and turning on the machine which was a little too easy to do on the 950.
The next big change was to the Humidifier's tank, they removed a baffle from the top lid. I have seen much less water use and no rain out so far but it seems I am getting enough humidity so keep my nose and face happy.
I think this change allow more warm water to give up steam where the old cover may have restricted this, and at the same time might have caused more water droplets to form on its cooler lid.
One last thing, the travel bag that now comes with the new 960 is cheaper and lighter so I kept the old heavier bag from the 950.

Very clever. Establish a dummy account to ask an "innocent" leading question, then use another account to "answer" (read: hawk your wares).
Product placement at its best, if not a classic example of advertising guerrilla warfare, pushing ResMed while in the same stroke undercutting Resperonics. And for free. Kudos; check's in the mail.

Tyrone, if your point is that racprops and vsheline are the same person, you are incorrect.
Vsheline (Vaughn) is our go-to guy for all things ASV related. He's also been here a long, long time.
Hang out here a while longer and you will see that such activity as you suspect doesn't happen here. We love to argue about which one is best, yes, but actually push a single thread to promote one over the other? Nah, no fun in that.
