Aircurve 10/Airsense 10 Loud Noises - magictrkaz - 01-12-2015
I just received my AirCurve 10 ASV on Friday and when I turn it on, I can here what I assume to be the fan whirling and there is enough vibration that it vibrates my night stand. I have heard these are supposed to be quieter than my S9, but it was loud enough to wake up my wife. It was not coming from the mask, but the actual machine. It is every time I breath in I can hear the whirling/vibration. Has anyone else experienced this?

I do get that noise but it isn't loud enough to bother me. Makes a sound like Darth Vader only quieter. In any event it's drowned out by the noise my oxygen concentrator makes. I've taken to sleeping with my Bose Q15 noise cancelling headphones on, which also lets me listen to the scanner or some soothing music.
If it's loud enough to bother you you should probably insist on a replacement unit.

Take it back you must have a bad one, Mine is so quit you really don't know it's running, The air coming out of our Furnace ducts is louder.

Thanks. The DME is trying to tell me the ASV is louder than the S9 Autoset I previously had. Not sure if this is the case. Does anyone have experience with the S9 ASV model? Supposedly the A10 is much quieter than the S9
