I get all my stuff from my VA sleep clinic. As I have said out here before, I have been totally pleased with how they have taken care of me and my cute little schoolboy type body.
The one thing they told me early on was that they didn't have lots of room to keep stuff, so there is a lot of stuff they don't keep. That stuff they order as they need it.
So... I use the P10. With the P10 you are supposed to change the pillows twice a month. Yeah, that's overkill, so let's say once a month would be good.
In the past when I called up my sleep clinic and asked them for new pillows, I got a whole new mask instead. That's fine, but not all that necessary. So last week I called them up and left a nice, long message saying I didn't really want to keep breaking the bank, even it is was their bank, and since Resmed thinks you should replace the pillows, I'd like to have some spare pillows on hand to do that if possible. But if they couldn't provide spare pillows, in size large, just let it go for now.
That worked swell. Today UPS showed up with my 5 new P10 masks. The whole thing. Including all three sizes of pillows. At no extra cost.
I love my sleep clinic.
But this is definitely overkill.

I have a box full of stuff like that. Extra filters, water tanks, hoses, masks, pillows. I even have two extra machines in a closet, one of which works reliably.

My DME could care less about providing me with anything but a mask. Got a mask in Sept, and cannot get a new one till, oh, surprise, this month, 6 months later. They said insurance would cover one every 3 months, but apparently the trial period was not included. My wife's DME sent EVERTHING, cushions, head gear, on a regular basis; unbidden, and managed to get paid. Maybe you can start your own cottage business with the excess!!

For those of us with less generous benefits, just let me know by PM if you want to share the bounty. I got a P10 mask out of network (paid 100% out of pocket) right after January 1 and traded a medium pillow for a large with another individual. I have no idea when a replacement pillow or mask will be acquired, but can guarantee my pillows have each lasted for a 3-months and are still considered "new". Sweet deal you found.

I have Medicare and get an entire new mask, hose, and 6 packs of filters every 3 months. I'd be happy with just pillows/cushion but, nope. So I have extras as well. Which have come in handy when I had a puppy a few years ago! Darn little cute dickens...(puppy owner speak for "he's lucky to have survived"). I finally started telling them no to the filters. I got enough to last for quite some time!

Well, now I know why the online prices I've found are so outrageously high. Huge discounts to Gov't agencies. I pay every nickle out of my pocket and am on a limited budget. The prices I saw were shocking. I watched a video found on the board for an adapter for an oxometer and I believe the narrator said price was something in $400 range.....that's just an adapter to plug into the ResMed, not the Oxometer, nor the data "brain' which connects to the adapter and finger do-dad. I may have to sign up for Medicare and get supplies when I'm in the States. And no, I don't think I need an Oxometer...just watched the video.

The amount of money DME's get from the insurance companies for these parts is obscene. If our society is really interested in lowering health care costs this is a good place to start. Get rid of the insurance company lobby. They are ripping us off.

Once a week or whenever, wash the mask and stuff really thoroughly, and switch to one of your other masks. Set the just cleaned mask somewhere clean and dry. Keep rotating through the supply. Do the same with all your supplies. Reorder when you think it needs it.
