~ New Interim Download Page for SleepyHead ~

Members of JediMark's beta-testing group on the SleepyHead Testing Forum have made a few updates to the SleepyHead download page.

This new SleepyHead Interim Download Page is at:

http://www.SleepFiles.com/SH2/

All Apnea Board links to SleepyHead have now been updated to this new download page.  After a week or so of testing, we will use the server to redirect all links from the old download page to this new Interim Download Page.

This new page now links to the latest beta version rather than the older beta version. The latest beta version 0.9.8-1 works well and has several major improvements, and works with several additional models of CPAP machines.

The compressed files have been changed to a .zip file from a .7z file because some people had problems installing the 7zip program and extracting SleepyHead.

Also included in this change are updated translation files for the different languages, so the package files have been renamed to 0.9.8-1-T1. The program itself is still the same 0.9.8-1 version.

Chrome users may get a warning that the file is "not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous." Read the Interim Download Page for a description of this message.

The format of the download page has been changed to eliminate javascript, which previously caused problems for some users.

The old versions of the web page are still available and are linked on the new web page.

RE: New SleepyHead Interim Download Page - SuperSleeper - 03-23-2015

As of today (March 23, 2015) the SleepyHead compressed install files have been updated to include the latest and greatest language "translation files" from Arie Klerk's team (for non-English-speaking people). If you speak English and you already have the Testing-0.9.8.1 version, there's no need to upgrade your SleepyHead install with these files.

There is also a separate folder for the latest "T2" "translation files", here:

http://www.ApneaBoard.com/SH/Translations/

If you wish to have the latest language files, you don't have to re-install SleepyHead-- you can simply replace the existing translation files within your current installation with the new ones from the link above. They should be in the SleepyHead install folder, in a separate "Translations" folder.

There's a new changelog page link at the bottom of the Interim Download Page, which leads here. This page lists the major changes between each "version" with the more recent changes at the top. It currently reads:

Quote:CHANGELOG for SleepyHead Interim Download Page:

3-23-2015 Version change to Testing-0.9.8.1-T2:
This non-critical repackaging includes updated language translation files. Not necessary to update unless you want the latest and greatest non-English versions of SleepyHead.

3-15-2015
Version change to Testing-0.9.8.1-T1:
This repackaging contains the latest beta version (Testing-0.9.8.1) rather than the older beta version. The latest beta version works well and has several major improvements, and works with several additional models of CPAP machines. Also included were updated language translation files. The "T1" in the version numbering stands for "Translation update 1". The compressed files have been changed to a .zip file from a .7z file because some people had problems installing the 7zip program and extracting SleepyHead.

RE: New SleepyHead Interim Download Page - SuperSleeper - 03-31-2015

Starting tomorrow (Wed, April 1), the old SleepyHead download page will be automatically re-directed to the new Interim Download Page.

NOTE: This will be done Internet-Wide (not just here on Apnea Board).
