Wrist Oximeter CMS-50F - hiddendragon - 04-16-2015 Caution about the accuracy of the CMS-50F wrist probe/recorder. I bought one from eBay, the readings were 5-7% low. The price is considerably lower than those listed in Amazon. The price I paid was $80 with free shipping. At first it seems to be a nifty gadget. However, its readings were not very accurate, although both the hardware and software work. I have returned it for a refund. Sincerely, hiddendragon RE: Wrist Oximeter CMS-50F - Crimson Nape - 04-16-2015 OK, I'll bite. What did you use to determine the 5-7% difference? Compare with AllynWelch Vitals Station and several other finger oixmeters. hiddendragon RE: Wrist Oximeter CMS-50F - Clay L - 04-16-2015 Must depend on the unit. Mine is dead on with my sleep doctors machine. That's not unusual with devices made in China. I don't think they have strict specifications compliance under control yet. Good to know you get a good unit. Anyway, the manufacturer, Contec, does not specify the wrist oximeter is a medical device. |
