Replacing mask cushion - when ? - worthog - 05-09-2012

How often should one replace their mask cushion.

Mine is 1550 hours old/young now. As I have need to tighten the straps up slightly, does that mean its time to replace the silicone cushion on my full face mask

There is no set rules when to change mask cushions. Everyone face is different for some it can wear out quicker . For Americans it depend on their insurance cover. Usually I replace mask cushion 4/6 months or sooner if leak start to go higher than average. btw buying on ebay and Supplier #2 (even adding shipping costs) is much cheaper than local prices.
