Respironics System One REMstar Pro Opinions

Respironics System One REMstar Pro Opinions
Still debating which data capable CPAP machine to get when doc says it's time. Unsure

Was convinced I was going to go with ResMed A10 Elite, but now interested in learning more about the Respironics System One line. Even if the DreamStation is available when it's time for me to order I think I'll stay away from it for now.

I believe the Pro model of the System One is the equivalent of the ResMed Elite -fully data capable, but fixed CPAP, not Auto. The Pro does however have an Auto Trial mode so that one could trial auto for up to 30 days from what I've read.

I read the review of this in the reviews section and there was talk of it being noisy. Any comments about this?

In fact any comments good or bad about this machine?

Thanks

Can't comment on the pro but the system one auto is a great machine. I have had one for about a year and really like it.

The system one pro model is essentially an auto, with the auto function disabled except for temporary use. It's an excellent machine. I assume it is marketed to medical professionals that have a preference for CPAP, but that want to include home titration and pressure optimization features. I think it's a great idea, and one that makes it superior to the Elite. It is fully data capable and I think (not sure) it gives some data that is not available on the Elite, like flow limitation and possibly RERA.

The Pro is intended to be run in CPAP mode, but can optionally evaluate your pressure in auto mode from time to time. We all change over time. Our health, weight and other factors that can affect CPAP pressure change. It makes sense to have a machine that can evaluate those changes and automatically select an optimized CPAP pressure. Of course since you have data, you can be the judge of its selection.
