Dry mouth and throat
#11
RE: Dry mouth and throat
I have the heated hose option on the Airsense 10 and it does allow more humidity without rainout. The Airsense 10 has an auto humidity mode that is designed to keep the humidity at 75% and the temp at 81º relative to the room. It seems to work well for me but I do find that I sometimes have minor dry mouth. I do use a chinstrap - home made as all I purchased did not work well. Any chinstrap experiences/suggestions welcomed!Thinking-about

Biotene works well also. I use a small Ozarka water and a flex straw for my 2AM drink. Works quite well through the mask elbow connection on the F10 FFM. Other mask may need to be removed if there is no direct access to one's mouth.

After 2 months, it is getting easier with leaks down (using "silent Night" liners) and AHI is averaging 2.5 or less.

Good luck with the journey.

Hello, Ed1101.

Congratulations on the good results with your treatment.

I use a Ruby adjustable chin strap. It works very well for me.

Welcome Rallypoint... Yep! You're breathing through your mouth whether or not you know it.
Options are limited..
Switch to a full face mask
Use a chin strap
"Learn" to control your tongue to stop breathing through your mouth..

I can't imagine why you would need a humidifier or heat in Puerto Rico.

Its a new struggle using CPAP, but worth the effort..
