Finding right mask for AirSense 10

Finding right mask for AirSense 10
I have just started using an AirSense 10, and have not found a mask that works yet. The machine always goes to max pressure of 8. in study I had an AHI of 8 on back and around 2 on side, but seem to roll onto back according to doc. The pico mask leaks air as listed in the machine menus and shows central apneas of around 1 to 1.5. I tried the nuance pro, which wont stay on me during the night since it falls off. With a chin strap over it I woke up after 2 hours due to the tightness. the Nuance pro and opus masks also make it very difficult to exhale, which means that I hve to take Lunesta to sleep with it on.

Is there a mask that fits like the pico, around the ears, but is a pillow mask that wont move and leak when sleeping on my side? or perhaps I should try either a dental device, back pillow to keep me on my side, or something like provent.

Trying it out, but so far it does not seem to be working completely.

Penguin, ask your DME for the Resmed Airfit P10 nasal pillows. It is very easy to fit, and the seal is only under your nose near the nostrils. It is the lightest most minimal mask on the market. Many of us have success with this; or as we like to say; "Resistance is futile".

The P10s can dislodge on your side because the strap system gets loose. There are some clips that now come with it that might help. A P10 knock off is the Rio which has a better strap system IMHO.

I notice from your profile you are not using software. Download sleepyhead from the link at the top of the forum page and post some data so we can help you further. You can organize your data using the links in Sleeprider's signature block in post #2 above. Welcome to the forum.
