[CPAP] All well now.

All well now.
After taking about a week to get things set, the CPAP is working great now. It has been 6 weeks since I started. I would NEVER try using other than Auto machine, as once I switched to Auto, everything started working.

I had a problem with sinus stuffy, which turned into sinusitis. I thought the CPAP was the problem, but it was really the extremely dry air in the house. Turned up the humidifier on the machine, started flushing sinuses with sterile saline, followed by Flonase, and all is well.

Tried nasal mask (wisp) as well as Quattro pro full face, but settled on nasal pillows. (Nuance Pro, and Swift FX). Great for side sleeper, and now I even forget I have them on.

Thanks to all on the Board here. When I had a question, I used "Search," and invariably found an answer. like
Old man, new machine. Better sleep! Thanks

Congratulations on getting everything dialed in. The Nuance Pro is a good mask. It is the first pillow mask I used.

Sleep well.

Well, we don't have all the answers. Hopefully you found a way to keep the cat happy without it sleeping on the CPAP.

You started with the Tap Pap. Care to comment on what happened?

Actually, I started with the Nuance Pro. Tried the Tap Pap to eliminate the straps, etc, but having that mouthpiece in my mouth was far more annoying than the straps, especially after I got the fabric, rather than the plastic headgear.

Congrats!

And I concur about an Auto. It makes things just a bit easier, not to mention each night is customized.
